What are the restrictions on the names of the files and folders?

What are the restrictions on the names of the files and folders?

File and folder names must meet the following requirements:
The length of each file name must be less than or equal to 233 characters.
The total length (path + file name) must be less than or equal to 900 characters.
Following special characters are prohibited:
    / \ : * ? < > | "
The identical name with “robots.txt” cannot be specified.
Names beginning with “.ht” or “.dx” cannot be specified.
Also, when voiced consonant marks or semi-voiced consonant marks are used in a file name, it may not be displayed correctly on Windows or Mac PCs. See "Upload Files" for more details.

Can I inform a particular member that the files have been uploaded or copied?

Yes.
Set the Update Notification action on the folder. When a file is uploaded or copied to the folder, DOX will notify the specified email address(es). See “Action Setting” for more information on how to set the Update Notification action on folders.
You can also temporarily enable Update Notification when you upload the files. See “Set Actions when Uploading Files” for more information.
You can execute Update Notification action on the uploaded files. See “Execute Actions”for more information.

Can I hide the files from other members?

Yes.
Upload the files to your private space. Private space is available only to its corresponding account and therefore hides the files from other accounts.
The private space is only available to the customers with the service contract. Please contact the person in charge of the service contract.
You can also use Onetime URL to publish the files to selected members.

Can I upload the files without applying actions set on the destination folder?

Yes.
Under normal circumstances, actions will execute when you upload the files to the action-enabled folders. Please temporarily set the actions to OFF if you wish to upload the files with no action executed.

The file transfer rate is slow.

The transfer rate when uploading or downloading files depends on your network environment. The upstream speed of your network may be slow, or Internet or local network bandwidth may be saturated. First, check your network environment.
