- Mail Integration

Web Mail’s security features prevent accidental sending of a message and are safer than sending the file attachment via regular mail client. Sent file attachment is automatically deleted after a predefined time period.

- IIJ Secure MX Service and DOX Link Feature (optional)

Optional IIJ Secure MX Service and DOX Link Feature achieves enhanced integration between storage and mail messaging system. For example, file attachment sent via Outlook Express will automatically upload to DOX.

Service Overview

There are typically 2 ways to use DOX.

First is to use DOX as a shared file server on the Internet. Folder level access control maintains secure data sharing for multi-user environment. Typical scenarios include: collaboration with business partners, data sharing among branch offices, long term storage of data.

DOX is also available as a mail support tool. For example, you can upload a large file to DOX instead of attaching it to a mail message. When sending a mail from DOX’s Web Mail feature (Outbound only), the file attachment first uploads to DOX. The message only contains a link that leads to the corresponding file attachment saved in DOX. You can upload a file and notify the recipient at the same time. You may also apply settings to automatically delete the uploaded file attachment after certain time period.

Optional IIJ Secure MX Service achieves enhanced integration between storage and mail messaging system. A file attachment sent via Outlook Express will automatically upload to DOX. This effectively bypasses the size limit imposed on the file attachment.
