Manage Group

Create New Group

You can create a new group. There is no restriction in assigning group name, members and roles. The number of user groups is limited by the service contract.

Step 1
On the “Manage/View” menu, click “Manage Group”.

Click “Create New”.

Enter information for the new group.
Term Description Example
New User Group Name
(Required)
Enter name of the user group.
Group name can be 1 to 63 characters using alphanumeric characters and hyphens. Use of hyphens “-” at the front or at the end is prohibited.

(Optional)
Enter comment on the user group.
The length must be less than or equal to 80 characters.

Click “Forward”.
Hint
“Stop” aborts creation of new group and reverts you toStep 1.

Select the checkbox(es) of the account(s) (e.g. user) you want to add and click “Forward”.
Hint

Group cannot be nested in another group.

Clicking an alphabet tab will filter the list by alphabets.

You can select more than one account. Checkmarks will be preserved even when you move to a different page.

“Back” reverts you to Step 3.

“Stop” aborts creation of new group and reverts you toStep 1.

Select the checkbox(es) of a role(s) you want to grant to the new group.

Publish Onetime URL Can publish Onetime URL.

Manage Onetime URL Can confirm Onetime URL's validity, stop publishing Onetime URL and view access logs.

Manage Group Can create, modify and delete group and group space.
See “Manage Group”and “Manage Group Space”for more details.
Access Control Setting Can set, change and delete access control settings. Accounts with this role can access all folders in common space regardless of folders’ access control settings. See “Access Control Setting” for more information on how to modify access control settings.
View Access Log Can view access and operation logs in DOX.
See “View Access Logs”for more information.
Click “Create New”.
Hint

Lower part of the screen shows the groups you selected in Step 4.

“Back” reverts you to Step 4.

“Stop” aborts creation of new group and reverts you to Step 1.

The group created will appear in the list of groups.
Confirm the name, member and role of the group. I indicates the role granted to the group.
